- PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE -

(1997–2010)  Private Practice

La Jolla Chiropractic Health Center, La Jolla, CA.   After returning from India, operated a private clinic
for the past 12 years, specializing in holistic chiropractic medicine with special emphasis
on addressing the emotional and stress-related origins of pain and disease.

(1994-1997)  Staff Physician

M. A. Math Charitable Foundation, Kerala, India.  Practiced holistic chiropractic medicine in southern
India as a volunteer doctor.  All proceeds from patient care were donated to large-scale
humanitarian charitable projects.

(1988-1994)  Clinic Director

The Sports & Family Chiropractic Center, Seaside, California.  Founded and administrated a private clinic
specializing in sports medicine and nutrition, employing as many as nine persons: including
an associate doctor, massage therapists/physical therapy aids, an
athletic trainer, receptionists, and business office personnel.

(1986-1988)  Associate Doctor

Provance Chiropractic Sports and Rehabilitation Clinic, New Orleans, Louisiana.  Worked with members
of the New Orleans Saints football team, served as personal doctor for the New Orleans Delta Festival
Ballet Company, also treated Olympic, professional, and amateur athletes from most sports backgrounds.  



- POST-GRADUATE AND EXTRACURRICULAR -

Received approximately 986 hours of accredited post-graduate training, including 77 professional education
seminars on topics concerning nutrition, orthopedics, and clinical practice.
[California state requirements for re-licensing were only 300 hours.]

Employed as a teaching assistant in 13 different courses at the at National University of Health Sciences 1983-1986,
instructing in Anatomy, Radiology, Biomechanics, Orthopedics, Pathology, and Chiropractic Technique.

Took a 3 year sabbatical in order to engage in charitable chiropractic practice overseas in India.

Established and operated private karate schools from 1975 thru 1980 teaching
martial arts at Whitman College and The Evergreen State College
as a second degree black-belt instructor in Tae Kwon Do.

Class Valedictorian - National University of Health Sciences, graduating class of August 1986,

Received the National University of Health Sciences “
Anatomy Achievement Award”.

Published in a textbook still used at chiropractic colleges nationwide, “
The States Manual of
Spinal, Pelvic, and Extravertebral Technique
", 2nd Ed., as doctor demonstrating
the system of Diversified Adjusting Technique.

Invited by the Pathology Department at the National University of Health Sciences
to take a full-time teaching position.

Hired as an instructor for the
National Chiropractic Board Examinations, Part I,
to teach a review course in the field of medical pathology.

Served as
Motion Palpation Institute’s District Representative for Chicago, 1984-1986

Listed in “
Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges” 1984, 1985, 1986

Current licensure has been in the state of California since 1987;
Held licensure also in the states of Louisiana and Illinois.



- UNDERGRADUATE HONORS AND AWARDS -

Appointed to a Washington State Senate subcommittee by the State Superintendent of Public
Instruction, serving as a representative of all Washington State students for the
assessment of basic educational standards in primary and secondary schools.

Received a one-year full tuition academic scholarship to Whitman College.

Granted the Whitman College “Honors at Entrance” award.

Awarded the "Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Academic Scholarship".

Received The National Youth Foundation Scholarship "I Dare You Leadership Award".

Recipient of the "Soroptomist Youth Citizenship Award".

Given the "Masonic Junior Achievement Award".



- PERSONAL -

Interests in personal fitness: including weight and aerobic training, yoga,
